AI Product & Innovation Lead. And Photographer.
AI Work
I am the Global Head of Innovation at The Gardening Club.
I lead the AI team at The Sweetshop, a global production company. Our remit is to use these tools to help make bigger, bolder, more ambitious things using AI and other technologies. Better with different, not more with less.
I’ve had a wide career:
- Uni: Biology (Neuroendocrinology)
- 20s: web stuff
- 30s: video, main titles, motion graphics and vfx
- 40s+ installations (temporary & permanent) and immersive (AR, VR, game engines and AI).
- Lots of AI
Here’s my LinkedIn if you want to talk shop.
I’ve won a few awards: an Emmy (Dexter), Cannes Grand Prix x 2 (Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas & Pedigree ADoptable).
Photography
I am also a photographer - I am inspired to create images that are the intersection of classically beautiful, explicitly sexual and queer. I feel there is a real aversion to graphic sexuality as something that can be beautiful in a fine art context - outside of a few like Mapplethorpe and Araki, it’s incredibly difficult in the era of sanitised social media. It’s impossible to promote your work if no one can see it. I’d like to widen the breadth of what is acceptable and even revered. I’d love for more work like this to be hanging in the Tate.
Photographic Exhibitions
2024 - FILTH at Velorose Gallery with the painter Orpheus
2014 - Center on Halsted Gallery.
Daily Arxiv
I’ve also created the Daily Arxiv podcast to help mere mortals stay on top of AI research.
